A CENTRALISED APPROACH

WHAT WE DID
Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council needed a compliant framework to purchase a variety of print and associated products.
Since registering with the Print Marketplace it has allowed the council to utilise a more centralised approach, channelling all requests through one dedicated user for all of their print requirements - meaning it’s easier to keep track of orders.
A wide range of requests have been fulfilled so far:
- Collateral for theatre promotions
- Health information posters and leaflets
- Tenant and Leaseholder mailings e.g. Service charge mailings/Rent increases/Tenancy Agreement
- Print and distribution of garden bin waste stickers
- Print and distribution of newsletters via door drops to residents within postcode boundary areas
The BENEFITS
- Supports hybrid working as can be accessed from anywhere
- Fully compliant route to source print with no time-consuming contracts
- Project management assistance helping to keep jobs on track
- Guidance and advice available on print formats
- Large variety of different products available
- Self-serve or assisted quote options depending on the complexity of the job

Kay Faulkner, Print Co-ordinator and Creative Artworker, Welwyn Hatfield Borough Council“I regularly use the Print Marketplace for a mixture of print requests using the self-service route or for more complex projects I brief via the Assisted Request form. The platform gives me the flexibility to quickly search for competitive print prices and lead times for the more standard print jobs, but through the assisted route I have the full support of the customer service team to obtain prices, schedules, and guidance for larger projects where the team helps me to manage the process.
I have used Print Marketplace for a range of print, posters, mailings and door drops, and find that it always provides good service and value for money.”

Print Marketplace has been developed alongside Crown Commercial Service, who are an Executive Agency of the Cabinet Office, supporting the public sector to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services.
